I have two clients that your milk thistle combination would be perfect for. Can I give it to them if they are nursing or pregnant?
Great question. According to most of the text books in the world, the formula should not be counter indicated.
However, recent studies have indicated that Red Clover in particular is an isoflavone. Isoflavone is a form of phyto-estrogen. While it does not interact in the same way as estrogen, we would have you proceed with caution.
We currently
do not make our milk thistle, dandelion, and
red clover blend available to our pregnant and nursing clients.
That said, we
are looking to produce a version of our extract that will be safe for pregnant and nursing women. You can look for it in the next few months. -Mark
