Do you have to prepare milk thistle as a tea?  I don't mind the drinking part, it's that I prefer cold beverages to hot.  I am considering this as an option since being diagnosed with fatty liver disease.  I have been prescribed Vytorin and am concerned about the side effects.  Thanks for your response.

Using cold water is perfectly fine.  We simply suggest hot water as in Traditional Oriental Medicine it is seen as a better medium for medicinals.  The warm water brings more circulation to the intestines of blood than cold foods so the absorbsion rate in the traditional sense is seen as hindered with cold liquids.  It is really up to you.  Try both and see which one you like more.  Let us know!
