I am 6 months pregnant.  I have severe pain in my right upper quadrant that radiates to my mid back every time I eat and while I am sleeping.  I have went to the doctor for this for 2 years prior to my pregnancy and now it has gotten much worse with my pregnancy.  The ultrasounds show nothing.  The doctors are constantly stating this is not my gall bladder, but have failed to state what it is.  I am convinced it is gallbladder.  At my recent check-up, I was told there are several other test that could be done to verify if a stone or "sludge" in the ducts that is not visible on the ultrasound, but none of these test can be done during pregnancy.  I am angry because they did not do these before a baby was involved.  I am frustrated because they are treating a machine reading and not me.  I wish I could pluck-out my own gallbladder.  I have heard horror stories from many sources about gallbladder pain being aloud to continue until an emergency arose simply because the scans do not reveal all problems.  What can I do for relief that is safe for the baby?

I'm sorry that I missed your post prior.  Since you posted in March, you must have given birth in June?  How are you?  What is the status of your gallbladder and the pain?
