Thank you for your post.  Believe it or not, we don't advertise on line.  All of our listings are organic, meaning that google, msn, yahoo, and all other search engines rank us based on content only.  If you found us for burst gall bladder and feel that we are lacking content, then it is not our fault, it is the search engine algorithm.   If you have specific questions about "burst gall bladder", please post the questions and I will try and answer them for you as quickly as possible (thus improving content for those following after you).

Sincerely,

Good day...I do have a question about a "busrt gall bladder" issue.

Is it possible to "see" if the gall bladder has burst on a CAT scan? or is it such an iffy picture that a true diagnosis is not possible until entry by surgery?

Thankyou!

Tests that detect the presence of gallstones  and/or inflammation include:
  • Abdominal ultrasound
  • Abdominal CT scan
  • Abdominal x-ray
  • Gall bladder radionuclide scan
  • A CBC shows infection by an elevated white blood cell count
If the gall bladder itself was burst or ruptured, you would most likely know.  Usually it can be seen with one of the above tests prior to surgery in a clinic.  The trick is that it is bad news once it bursts and relatively clean operation prior.  So, early detection is very important.  If you suspect any type of gall bladder disease, it is important to contact your health care physician.  Symptoms of early gall bladder disease can be found in our article: Gall Bladder.
